About

I study kinetic plasma processes in space and astrophysical plasmas, focusing on magnetic reconnection, turbulence, plasma instabilities, and anisotropy-driven dynamics. My work combines analytical theory with large-scale numerical simulations, and is conducted in part within the Simons Collaboration on Extreme Electrodynamics of Compact Sources.

Research themes:

  • Tearing theory, collisionless reconnection and current-sheet stability
  • Turbulence and plasma heating
  • Kinetic instabilities and pressure anisotropy
  • Reduced plasma descriptions

Methods:

  • Linear theory and reduced models
  • Spectral codes: Gyrofluid, gyrokinetic, and hybrid-Vlasov
  • Particle-in-cell simulations
